I would truly recommend this book, even though this can be read as a standalone, I would suggest you read the rest of the Made series. The relationship between Ronan and his niece was simply beautiful, the love he showed her just proved again how human he was, and how he would do anything for her. There was an appearance from Christian and Gianna, I loved their daughter Kat, at such a young age she showed how strong she was and how much of her parents she has in her. I liked the fact that Ronan had to fight his feeling for Mila, but adored how he came to terms with them, even though it took for something serious to happen to realise he loved Mila. What I found endearing was how Ronan ate Fruit Loops for breakfast and played Candy Crush, it showed that he was human. He was darker than both Nico and Christian, but like them he had a secret obsession for Mila and didn’t like the idea of anyone else going anywhere near her. Ronan was very different to the other heroes Danielle Lori has portrayed in the Made series. Mila’s relationship with Albert, Yulia the housekeeper and Khaos was so precious, the way these secondary characters looked out for her, showed us just the type of person she was, with her big heart. Mila’s love for giving and seeing the best in people made me love her character even more. I enjoyed how she grew throughout the book, although she was sweet and was very soft, she challenged the Ronan continuously by standing up for herself. I loved Mila from the beginning, she was so naïve and I felt her every emotion, and at times I cried with her.

They may seem vulnerable at first but they stand their ground.

I have to say hands down Danielle Lori is becoming one of my favourite authors, I love how she portrays her characters, especially the heroines. I’ve waited so long for this book and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, a Russian winter is the coldest of them all, and Mila soon learns the only way to escape intact is to do the impossible and thaw her captor’s heart. But it doesn’t take long for his caress to become a rough grasp muffling her screams. One with unexplained wealth, tattoos on his hands, and secrets in his eyes. She never expected to fall for a man on the way. Suffocated by the rules and unanswered questions, Mila does what she’s always wanted to. Not about her papa’s absences or his refusal to let her set foot in her birthplace-Russia.

Having always done what is expected of her, Mila dresses the part, only dates college boys with exemplary backgrounds, and doesn’t ask questions. She refrained from telling her it would be literally while Mila ran for her life. A fortune teller once told Mila she’d find a man who would take her breath away.
